Ladda ner boken Det gamla Ytterlännäs

Vi har blivit erbjudna att ge våra besökare här på hemsidan möjlighet att ladda ner pdf-filer av boken Det gamla Ytterlännäs av Sten Berglund. Boken finns att ladda ner både på svenska och engelska.

Den engelska översättningen är gjord av Dr David Fallen i USA med hjälp av Hans Högman i Sverige.

David har fått tillåtelse av Anna-Britta de Wall att göra det och att göra den tillgänglig på nätet. Detsamma fick vår förening, dvs att göra den tillgänglig på nätet.

David har gjort den nedladdningsbar på Familysearch.com men det har varit begränsningar på vilka som får ladda ner den därifrån och därför har vi blivit erbjudna att också göra den tillgänglig för nedladdning.

Here is part of the preface of the English translation of the book.

This book was translated by Dr. David Fallen whose Grandfather emigrated from Näs,Sweden in Ytterlännäs parish.

Sten Berglund;s book was published in 1974. Although it is explicitly the history of the Ytterlännäs parish, much of that history is shared with other parishes in northern Sweden and Berglund’s fine work should be of general interest to other historians, genealogists, and anyone having family roots in that area.

Every effort has been made to preserve the “look and feel” of the Swedish book.
It is formatted for A5 paper, close to the physical size of the printed book’s pages.
As far as possible, the original fonts, illustrations, captions, page breaks and page numbers have been preserved. Much tweaking had to be done, mostly to the paragraph line spacing, to preserve the original page breaks. When viewed side-by-side, any given page from the book should look the same in the English version.
